"If there’s a world here in a hundred years, it’s going to be saved by tens of millions of little things. The powers-that-be can break up any big thing they want. They can corrupt it or co-opt it from the inside, or they can attack it from the outside. But what are they going to do about 10 million little things? They break up two of them, and three more like them spring up!"

Feeding Horses and Shoveling Shtuff

The project:
Feed horses while the girls' riding instructor takes her OWN children to Disneyland for a birthday celebration. While I'm there, shovel clean 6 horse stalls.

Time:
An hour.

Why bother?
I'll do just about anything in trade for being around horses. Feeding is easy, and morning feeding brings the added bonuses of horsey yawns and stretches followed by anticipatory nickers from the hungry crowd and finally the peaceful munching.

As for scoopin' - what goes in must come out. They really are manure factories!

Worth it?
Sure, helped her out and got some exercise, too. Had hoped to clean them all out, but ran out of time!
